Here at Bottle and Heels we are always on the lookout for new artists to showcase on the blog so when Dana Melanie reached out to us about her environmentally friendly concrete art we had to showcase it to all of our followers! Her pieces are simple yet sophisticated. They are the perfect way to add a little something extra to your bedroom, dining room, kitchen, or wherever else you see fit. Plus, they also make for a perfect and unique gift this Holiday season.

Dana is an actress, writer, and amateur environmentalist who was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. However, she travels between NYC and LA for work.

Dana says about herself:

“I constantly have to create when I’m not filming to keep me sane. I’ve always wanted to make some type of art, but never knew what to make. Recently I stumbled upon concrete art. It was exactly what I was looking for. Something I could physically make with my own two hands while also being able to combine my love for the environment with it.

My goal was to not only make art for your home, but more importantly, make art for your home without creating excess waste. Each piece is as unique as a fingerprint.

The casts I use to mold each item are all made from recycled goods. I could easily create a single reusable mold, but found beauty in giving these “trashed” items a second life. I found that the beauty is in the imperfection of every piece.”
