I have to admit I haven’t started shopping for Father’s Day quite yet. I thought I’d go this week, but my son is home from school (summer break) and I forgot how absolutely exhausting and crazy it is to have him home again all day! I’m trying to rework our schedules right now, and do everything I’m used to doing in a day (like study for school, work, cook, clean, etc.) plus entertain our 4 year old. We’re only a few days into summer and my house is trashed, and I feel like my head is spinning!!

So I decided that after I put my son to bed tonight, I need to get organized and start preparing for Father’s Day and do some research and I’m here to share my findings with you in case you’re feeling a little behind/stressed like myself…Good news is we’re within the Amazon Prime delivery window so there’s no need to stress out…at least not yet!

Something I do every year is I take photos of our son with the same props so that my husband has a collection of framed pictures of how much he’s grown over the years! I have letters that spell out ‘DAD’ and get a 3 piece picture frame and add the pictures. You can take your own pictures, create artwork, anything personalized and handmade will be appreciated by dad!

If you’re lucky enough to have a husband that likes to cook/grill I found some nifty gadgets for you lucky ladies! If you have a husband that will be cleaning off the cobwebs on the barbeque this summer and dreading that it’s BBQ season (like me), you can still get one of these exciting tools maybe it will encourage our non-chefs to fire up the grill this summer and test our their new gifts and cook us a decent meal. Win/win!

Star Wars (Lightsaber) BBQ Tongs

Williams Sonoma Smart Thermometer 2

Dad will never under or over cook food again! Thermometer connects to phone or tablet device and helps keep track of cooking time and displays food temp.

Grill Prep Trays set of 2

Anyone else’s husband constantly bother you to get stuff for them while they cook? Can you grab me this, or that? These trays allow him to use them for both raw and cooked food without cross contamination and more importantly without bothering you to help.

Steam Cleaning Power Brush for Grill

Because some dads need a little extra help keeping the BBQ clean.

Meat Tenderizer and Marinade Injector

A cookbook that teaches dad more about prep. The trend continues.

My husband works long hard hours and barely has any time for himself so I usually give him gifts from this section. I’ll book an appointment for him, or get him a gift card. I have in the past gifted him from all 3 of the shops below and he loved his experience at each! Dads often forget to pamper themselves so go ahead and send your husband off to the spa after breakfast for a little R&R, he’ll love you for it.

The Now

An affordable luxury spa destination that focuses on massages. You feel like you’re in a faraway land, a paradise, it’s by far the most beautiful and relaxing spa I’ve been to! If you’re located in Los Angeles, check out one of their 3 locations.

Hammer and Nails

A grooming shop for guys located in Los Angeles and Miami and soon to be located in Texas. They offer hand, foot, and shaving and haircut services in the most chic mancave! They have large leather chairs; each client get their own tv, remote, and noise cancelling headphones. Dad will feel like a king with his experience at Hammer and Nails.

It’s way more affordable than a spa starting at just $55 for a facial. I don’t know any man that doesn’t need a good face scrub and extraction, so it really is a great gift!

Sometimes we all just need a drink at the end of the day, and on those days you’ll be glad you have these little trinkets at home!

Dad will never have to suffer and drink a warm beer again.

At the end of the day, showing your appreciation however you can is what matters and spending time together as a family.

The good news for us moms is we’ve already had Mother’s Day. So, technically, we only need to put in as much effort as our husband did for us, right? Just kidding, sort of…

Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads out there. We love and appreciate you so much!
